EVERSANA was experiencing a significant volume of HIPAA-related compliance errors in internal QNCR reports. Approximately 83% of these errors stemmed from incorrect handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) and failure to authenticate it during patient calls, posing a serious risk of federal fines and reputational damage.
I was responsible for designing an educational solution that clearly explained the fundamentals of HIPAA, what qualifies as PHI, and how to properly authenticate PHI during calls. The goal was to drastically reduce the compliance error rate among employees.
Using Storyline360, I designed a concise, interactive training module tailored to frontline employees. I sourced accurate and up-to-date content from verified citations and regulatory resources. To enhance learner engagement, I integrated AI VoiceOver narration to explain complex HIPAA concepts clearly and consistently.
Within a few weeks of deployment, the training resulted in a drop in non-compliance rates from 83% to 15%. The project was recognized internally for significantly reducing compliance risks and became a benchmark for future training modules.
