I didn’t choose instructional design, a confused 3rd year engineering student accidentally discovered it.
I’m Hatim Ghasia, your most dashing, most fabulous Instructional Designer!... (too flashy??... sorry)
I solve learning problems the way Dr. House solves medical mysteries with blunt honesty, a stubborn obsession for solutions, and only slightly less narcissism (Ok, waaaay less narcissism, and a tad bit more PPT slides).
My mission? To make learning so easy, engaging, and meaningful that even the most complex concepts start to feel like when you finally understand taxes... and with 90% less crying.
But let's rewind a bit...
Once upon a time, I was knee-deep in chemical engineering at VNIT Nagpur. I surrounded myself with beakers, equations, and the occasional lab explosion (just kidding… mostly). It was fascinating, sure, but I quickly realized I wasn’t cut out to be the next Walter White—meth lab or not.
Then came Innovative Design- a course that decided it was a great idea to make me teach a class of 120 fellow smarties. No experience. No clue. Just me, a chalkboard, and a rising sense of doom. Panic phase? Yes. Late-night Google rabbit holes? Absolutely. But also with a spark... that one assignment nudged me into a wormhole of learning theories, cognitive frameworks, and instructional design… and I haven’t looked back since.
I started my career at Byju’s, where I wrote educational scripts, voiceovers, infographics, and even directed video content for students from Class 6 to 12, plus UPSC aspirants. Physics? Done. Civics? Check. Geography? Bring it on. If it was in a textbook, I turned it into something fun, digestible, and exam friendly. Oh, and I occasionally moonlighted as the voice of those videos. (Mic drop??)
Today, I’m with EVERSANA, crafting content that helps new hires in the life sciences industry hit the ground running. From onboarding flows to high-stakes process training, I blend storytelling with structure to make sure everyone gets what they need without dozing off halfway through. You're welcome.
Visual Design (my first love)
Scripting, Storyboarding, Needs Analysis
Gamified Learning with tools like Storyline360 & Rise360
Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Word, Excel—you name it.
Can switch hats faster than a hat trick: writer, designer, editor, even amateur animation artist.
In short: If it needs to be learned, I’ll find a way to make it fun, fast, and freaking unforgettable.
No matter how shiny the design or clever the metaphor, if the learner doesn’t “get it,” it doesn’t work. I believe learning should be easy to absorb, useful to apply, and ideally, fun to experience. My approach focuses on creating experiences that blend meaningful content with intuitive design, where gamification enhances understanding and real-life application reinforces retention. Learner-first content isn’t a principle—it’s a promise.
You’ll find me:
Swimming like a dolphin (a chubby one, but still)
Hitting sixes on the cricket field
Cycling into unknown alleys for great shawarma
Nerding out over history books, art museums, and ancient ruins
Jotting poems, scribbling articles, or philosophizing over food
Clicking photos, shooting videos, and pretending I’m in a documentary
Basically, if it involves creativity, culture, or adrenaline, count me in.
if you're thinking, "Wow, I like this guy—but how do I convince my boss?"
Well, here’s my resume—go ahead, make your pitch... wink*
